How to change your MX records with eNom

MX records (mail exchanger records) are a type of verified DNS records that control to which email server your domain routes.

Please note: Changes in your email settings may interrupt the service.

  1. Go to Domains menu and click My Domains.
  2. Click the domain you want to manage from the domain list.
  3. Click Email Settings directly or select it from the Manage Domain drop-down list.

More information

To use third-party email services like HostPapa, you can add a custom MX record for your domain by changing the Service Selection to “User (MX)”. Enter the MX record in the following format:

Host Name Address Pref
@ mxin.name-services.com 10

For example, if your domain were domain.com, the records above would show all mail sent to @domain.com to the mail server mxin.name-services.com. The Pref field is known as Priority too, and it is used for mail server prioritization in case you are adding more than one.
